If you believe that you are the lawful owner of unclaimed money under the Unclaimed Money Act 1950, you can make a claim.

Search Unclaimed Money

Claimants should note that only amounts greater than $74 may be claimed. An administrative fee of $74 will apply to each approved claim. Where several amounts are aggregated in one claim for the same claimant, one fee will be deducted from the total.

  • Attach supporting certified copies of supporting documentation eg certificates, papers, dividends, drivers licence, passport etc.

Do I have to complete a claim form for every amount of unclaimed money on your website or can I combine them?

We prefer it if you combine all your unclaimed money amounts on the one claim.

What do you mean by “certified copy”?

A certified copy is a photocopy of an original document, legal or other, which has been certified as being a true copy by a qualified person.
